Quite clearly, Devil Fruits are very overpowered. It is because of the tremendous strength they offer that one can only hold on to one ability at a time. It has been stated long ago in One Piece that most Devil Fruit users can only hold on to one power. This is because if one gets greedy and consumes more than one Devil Fruit power, the devils inside their bodies fight it out and their bodies eventually explode. There is only one exception to this rule, and that is Blackbeard, who managed to eat two Devil Fruits successfully through unknown means. However, Oda has introduced another character with two Devil Fruit powers at his disposal to the fans, and that is none other than the Accursed Prince of Elbaf, Loki.
Blackbeard Was The First Character With Two Devil Fruit Powers
- Blackbeard Killed Thatch For Yami Yami no Mi
- He Attacked Whitebeard For Gura Gura no Mi
Blackbeard was the first One Piece character to eat two Devil Fruits and he did so in quite a shocking manner. His first Devil Fruit was revealed to the fans during his battle against Ace. In this fight, Blackbeard revealed that after killing Thatch, the Fourth Division Commander of the Whitebeard Pirates, he had gained the Yami Yami No Mi. With this incredible power, Blackbeard was able to control darkness itself as well as Infinite Gravity.
Later on, when Blackbeard infiltrated Marineford, he gained Whitebeardβs power. After the death of Whitebeard, he stole his Devil Fruit and gained the strongest Paramecia to exist, that is, the Gura Gura no Mi. With his Devil Fruit, Blackbeard could cause quakes from land, sea as well air. Blackbeard’s overall power reached incredibly high levels after he ate two Devil Fruits, and it is part of what makes him incredibly special as a pirate.
Loki Has Access To Two Unique Devil Fruit Abilities
- Loki Has Ragnir β A Weapon With A Devil Fruit
- He Had Also Eaten A Mythical Zoan Devil Fruit Himself
Loki is the son of King Harald of Elbaf. That alone gives him the blood of a conqueror and makes him immensely powerful. He also has Ancient Blood giant running through his veins, which, in other words, means that he is even stronger than an average Giant. Loki was clearly born with some immense powers, but he ended up receiving even greater abilities later down the line.
I am the Sun God enshrined in the legends of this land. You will not speak to me without permission, human. I consider myself the strongest alive in the Lands. This is the Warland, Elbaf’s Kingdom of Violence. The most powerful nation in the world which once lived and breathed warfare. And I’m the Sun God who brings the world to an end, Loki! β Loki introducing himself in the Elbaf Arc.
His first powerful ability is Ragnir, the legendary hammer of Elbaf that no any can wield. Then, Loki went on to receive the power of the legendary Devil Fruit of Elbaf, and together, these two make up Loki’s two Devil Fruit abilities.
Loki’s Weapon Ragnir Has A Devil Fruit Ability
It can be said that Loki’s Ragnir is rather similar to Shamrock’s sword. Just as Shamrock can transform his blade into Cerberus, Loki can turn Ragnir into Ratatoskr. Ragnir is tremendously powerful and quite easily a monster that can defeat the vast majority of individuals in the One Piece world.
Loki Ate Elbaf’s Legendary Devil Fruit
Loki’s second and main Devil Fruit ability comes from the treasure of Elbaf. This Devil Fruit ability was passed down in the land of Elbaf for centuries and no one was able to eat it other than Loki. This is because Ragnir was heavily guarding this Devil Fruit, and even Harald, who was on the same level as Rocks, failed to eat it in the past. Loki was the only one who managed to eat it, and with it, he gained enough powers to overwhelm even Harald in combat.
The true form of this Devil Fruit remains unknown right now, but it is quite clearly a Mythical Zoan Devil Fruit with strength enough to overwhelm anyone. Loki is quite easily on the same level as the legends of the One Piece world, such as Harald, Rocks, Roger, and even Garp. With Ragnir and the legendary Devil Fruit of Elbaf, Loki clearly has two mighty abilities at his disposal.
Shamrock Figarland Could Also Have Two Devil Fruit Abilities
It seems that Oda is setting up a new trend of powerful individuals with more than one Devil Fruit ability at their disposal. Loki is the first of his kind, but another individual who could use a similar sort of power is Shamrock. Fans have already seen Shamrock use his sword, Cerberus, in combat. His sword is either enchanted by Imu or has been fed a Devil Fruit that allows it to transform into an awakened Cerberus at will.
It is only a matter of time before this new class of fighters with two Devil Fruit abilities becomes the norm in One Piece among the top tiers, and Oda is certainly going to make it very exciting as the story moves forward.
