🚨 ODA IS HIDING A DARK SECRET ABOUT SHANKS’ PAST – THIS IS WHY KID HATES HIM SO MUCH? 😱🔥

Given the incidents and confrontations in the One Piece anime and manga by now, it is no secret that Eustass Kid hates Shanks for whatever reasons the latter is unaware of. While we were pondering on the matter, as many of you are sure, an interesting theory crossed our minds which may lead the hatred’s root to a possible 15-year-old incident that Oda is yet to clarify.

Kid’s Hatred for Shanks Might Be Because of a 15-Year-Old Event

Going through the pages of the One Piece manga, an interesting theory suggests that, being from the Figarland family bloodline, Shanks may have joined the God Knights as a Blade of God and was deployed. Coincidentally, Kid was around the age of 8 at that point, and as it has been a recurrent thing with Eiichiro Oda‘s writing, the 8-year-old age is usually when life-altering events happen to individuals.

One theory is that Shanks‘ twin brother, Figarland Shamrock, may have shown up 15 years ago and killed Kid’s family. While Kid managed to escape at that time, he had Shamrock’s face imprinted in his mind. Years later, after seeing Shanks’ wanted poster, Kid might have mistaken him for Shamrock.

While this might be too obvious and almost sound far-fetched, there is another theory regarding the previous mention of the Blade of God title for Shanks. Knowing how Figarland Garling doesn’t seem like the kind that loves his kids unconditionally, what could Shanks have done that he was thrilled and embraced his son and welcomed him back, no questions asked? We did see him trying to get Shanks back from Roger in Chapter 1170.

Garling was likely happy to see Shanks because of the God Knight’s connection, and though he could use Shanks just like he did with Shamrock. While that may prove the connection there, and even if Shanks was in fact a member of the God Knights 15 years ago, where is the connection between him and Kid?

How Likely Are Kid and Rocks D. Xebec Related in One Piece?

To support our previous theory, here is another theory that actually makes a lot of sense. Similar to Rocks, Kid was also in the Davy clan. We base our origin theory for Kid on an arc that was not so long ago shown in the anime series. In the Wano Arc, Kid used his Devil Fruit powers and manifested a mech out of junk called Punk Rotten. If we look closely, the appearance of the mech looks very similar to that of Rocks D. Xebec.

As we know, the Davy Clan members, who escaped God Valley, were hunted down 15 years ago by the God Knights; Kid’s family was likely among them. And seeing how our previous theory intertwines with Kid’s origin theory, the likelihood of Shanks killing Kid’s parents during the hunt and Kid seeking revenge years later can’t be completely shrugged off as imaginary.

Shanks had to somehow gain Garling’s trust, and he probably chose to sacrifice Kid’s mother to prove himself as a part of Garling’s trials. It probably wasn’t a move that Shanks was happy with, but he needed a way into this group, and he had to sacrifice his moral code a little.
