Luffy becoming the Pirate King might just call the curtain on One Piece’s grand storyline; however, the ending is expected to play out with a bang!
The moment Luffy finally becomes the Pirate King in One Piece, the World Government should start counting its days. Luffy won’t waste any time declaring war on them to fulfill Joy Boy’s promise. Because, as things stand, he is the successor destined to realize the dream of liberation for Fish-Man Island. But after that’s done, what else?
With the One Piece in his possession, Luffy would surely emerge as the strongest being in the world. But would he continue being a Straw Hat afterward? Oda himself has hinted (via X) that the series may end once the One Piece is found. Still, the potential final war feels inevitable. But what would Luffy’s role be post One Piece, and what would the other Straw Hats do? Here’s a thorough speculation.
One Piece Endgame: What Will Luffy Do After Becoming Pirate King?

With or without the One Piece, we highly doubt Luffy’s personality will change at all. He’ll remain the same old cheerful dude who has adventuring in his blood. But next time, he may set sail with the other Straw Hats to seek their freedom and help his crew achieve their dreams.
Also, quite like Gol D. Roger, Luffy will usher in a new era of adventurers. However, his attitude will be unlike anything the former legends, such as Roger, Garp, or Rocks, had. His happy-go-lucky vibe will still ooze out, making him an inspiration for the next generation.
Surely, the feats he will have achieved by then would be enough to consider him someone close to Shanks’ level in terms of leaving a legacy. But let’s not rule out the fact that he may even attempt to find a successor to pass on the Straw Hat, just like Shanks did with him.
While it’s natural he’d become the strongest, the concern is whether he’d be able to hold his own for long. The intense physical toll on his body might lead to a shorter life. Still, it’s highly unlikely he’d quit adventuring or settle down. Possibly, he might embark on further adventures with Boa Hancock, as the Pirate Era finally ends with the One Piece being found.
What About Others? The Fate of Every Straw Hat Pirate, Explained

Once the One Piece is found, the Straw Hats will more or less have achieved everything they set out to do. Zoro will defeat Mihawk and become the world’s greatest swordsman, Nami will complete her world map, Usopp may earn his name as a brave warrior of the sea, and Sanji will surely find the All Blue. Like, every dream will click into place.
But there’s a catch. With no treasure left to chase, the seas calm down, and true adventures become rare. Thus, Dragon may step in to help form a new government, giving Luffy and the others a chance to live freely at last.
Zoro will roam the world as the strongest swordsman alive. And Nami will most likely take the biggest share of the One Piece and become absurdly rich, keeping Sanji close because she’s never had a better servant! Sanji will also hand over all the money to Nami and earn worldwide respect as a chef.
